The Hood Prosperity Unity Cup is a community first pickleball tournament that brings players together through a shared team based format, blending competitive structure with the excitement of meeting new teammates on game day.

Category 1 & 2

Random Team Team Event

(No DUPR Submission Required)

Category 1 and Category 2 will follow a team event format, with teams randomly formed through a live draw prior to competition.

Eligibility Rule

Only players who register through the Individual Random Selection Categories are eligible to be selected for the team event.

Defining Feature

You will not know your teammates in advance, promoting adaptability, inclusiveness, and true teamwork.

Individual Random Selection Categories

(Mandatory for Category 1 & 2 participation)

• 3.0 Below – Random Selection (Male)
• 3.0 Below – Random Selection (Female)

• 3.0 Above – Random Selection (Female)

How the Random Team Event Works

1. Register as an Individual (Mandatory)

All players must register as individuals under one of the Individual Random Selection categories, based on DUPR range and gender.

No team registrations are accepted for Category 1 & 2.

2. Live Team Draw

Before the competition begins:

• A live random draw will be conducted
• Players will be drawn from the Individual Random Selection pools
• Teams will be formed for:
• Team Event 3.0 Below
• Team Event 3.0 Above

3. Team Assignment

Once selected in the live draw:

• Players are assigned into teams
• Teams compete in the corresponding main team event

Team Composition (Category 1 & 2)

• 6 players per team
• 3 Male
• 3 Female

Match Format (Category 1 & 2)

Each team tie consists of 4 matches:

• 1 Men’s Doubles (MD)
• 1 Women’s Doubles (WD)
• 2 Mixed Doubles (XD)

This structure ensures:

• Equal male and female participation
• Balanced team contribution
• Depth and strategy across all pairings

Pre-Formed Competitive Team Event

Category 3 is designed for teams that come prepared with chemistry and strategy.

• 1 Mixed Doubles (XD)
• 1 Women’s Doubles (WD)

Eligibility (Category 3)

• Total Team DUPR Cap: 12.000
• Individual Player Cap: 3.399
• Total Teams: 20
