HPA x KSK 2026 Anniversary Tournament

Happy Pickle Addicters proudly celebrates our 1st Year Anniversary 🎉

In celebration of this milestone, Happy Pickle Addicters (HPA) presents a competitive and community-driven pickleball tournament, bringing together players of similar skill levels to compete, connect, and celebrate the growth of pickleball within our community.

This event is proudly held in collaboration with Non-profit Kechara Kitchen Soup (KSK) Society, transforming the tournament into a purpose-driven initiative that goes beyond sport.

KSK is an on-the-ground partner of the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia, where deserving families are referred through an official database. KSK conducts home assessments to ensure that aid reaches those who truly need support.

Through its Food Bank program, KSK supports a growing database of over 5,000 registered families nationwide, comprising the urban poor, rural poor, Indigenous communities.

Their consistent efforts have made a meaningful difference by delivering essential aid and building stronger community support systems.

Together, HPA and KSK aim to:

·       Raise awareness for underprivileged communities

·       Leverage the rapid growth of pickleball as a platform for social good

·       Encourage players, partners, and sponsors to be part of a meaningful cause

This collaboration reflects a shared belief that sports can unite communities and create real impact beyond the court. Held on 01^st August 2026 at Empire Pickle Club, Kota Kemuning.

Tournament Category DUPR Eligibility :

1.    DUPR eligibility is based on the player’s DUPR rating at the time of registration. Any changes to DUPR after registration will not affect category eligibility.

2.    Players without a DUPR rating (NR players) are encouraged to obtain a DUPR rating prior to registration; alternatively, you may participate in the Intermediate Category.

3.    All match results will be recorded and submitted via Sport Sync.

Novice category Rules :

1.    The organizer reserves the right to conduct player screening to ensure fair play and to filter out players deemed overqualified (“buaya”).

2.    Podium finishes in the "Novice" category (DUPR 3.099 and below) are allowed. However, if any form of manipulation of DUPR or unfair advantage is identified, the player(s) will be deemed as overqualified (“buaya”) and may be moved to the Intermediate category (if slot available) or disqualified on the event date if reported.

3.    Players who have previously achieved a Champion title in the "Intermediate" category (including any size/category of tournaments with DUPR 3.20 and above / combined DUPR 6.20 and above) are not eligible to participate in the Novice category.

4.    Using 2nd / fake accounts is strictly prohibited. If discovered, you will be disqualified or ban from the tournament.

5.    As screening may not identify every overqualified participant, players are allowed to submit official protests with valid documented evidence to challenge the eligibility of suspected players. Protests may also be submitted on tournament day.

6.    The organizer reserves the right to investigate and make the final decision regarding player eligibility, category placement, and disqualification matters.

7.    Registration fees for disqualified players or teams are strictly non-refundable.

Tournament Format & Scoring :

Group stage, Top16 & Quarter-Finals (1 set of 15point rally, Sudden Death)

• 8 team per group

• Top 4 teams from each group advance to Round 16. 

• No Time-out

***Please note that the number of teams in each group may be adjusted based on the final registration count to ensure the best tournament format

Semi-Finals , 3rd Placing & Finals (1 set of 21point rally, Serve to win)

• 1 Time-out, 1 min per team

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION FEES : RM250/TEAM (End on 1st July 2026) 

Declaration‼️ :

1.The Organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event in the event of insufficient participants or unforeseen circumstances.

2.The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings. Participants are advised to take full responsibility for their valuables at all times.

3.The Organizer reserves the right to modify, amend, delete, or add to these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. All participants agree to be bound by any such updates or revisions.

4.All decisions made by the Organizer regarding participation, rules, disputes, and event operations are final and binding.
