Putrajaya Pickleball is calling all Putrajaya pickleball players to join our tournament this upcoming 5th September in 11Pikelbola, Danau Golf, UKM Bangi. The tournament is brought to you by Putrajaya Pickleball Association (PUPA) and is supported by Kementerian Belia dan Sukan. This tournament is strictly for the residents of Putrajaya and those working in Putrajaya offices.

Who can join?

1) Putrajaya Residents

- IC address /TNB bill address /Tenant agreement

2) Working in Putrajaya

- Office address in Putrajaya

- Provide active business card or company letter

- Staffs registered in branches office outside Putrajaya (with company HQ in Putrajaya) are not allowed

3) Committee Members of PUPA or PUPA affiliated clubs

4 Categories:

1. Men’s Double (20 teams)

2. Women’s Double (20 teams)

3. Mixed Double (20 teams)

4. Team Event (8 teams) - by invitation only

Players are allowed to register in more than 1 category.

Tournament Details

Date: 5 September 2026

Location: 11Pikelbola, Danau Golf, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi

Tournament Schedule: Saturday

1) Women’s Double: 8 am - 1 pm

2) Men’s Double: 8 am – 1 pm

3) Mixed Double: 2 pm – 7 pm

4) Team Event: 8 pm - 11pm

Registration Fee

MD/WD/XD: RM80 per team

Team Event: RM150 per team

Tournament Formats/Rules

• Group Stage (Round Robin): 1 set – 15 points

• Knockout Stage (R16): 1 set – 15 points

• Change sides when the first team reach 8 points

• Knockout Stage (QF, SF, Final): 1 set – 21 points

• Change sides when the first team reach 11 points

• Each game will use the sudden-death format, no deuce at (14-14) and (20-20)

• Time-out: 1 minute for each team (1 time only in a game) starting in the knockout rounds

• All matches, groupings and knockouts will be officiated matches. The umpire will call for service faults, non-volley zone faults and score

• Line call rules: Receiver calls for the out ball, the umpire may advise if any dispute happens, no re-serve

• All players are expected to join with integrity. Substitution of players, creation of sub-account, and manipulation of DUPR ratings are NOT allowed, and in such cases, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to verify or disqualify ineligible players.

• DUPR Rating will be based on the rating recorded on player registration date

• Match scheduling and timings are subject to change based on tournament progress.

• Participants who fail to report at the registration and match times may be disqualified or given an automatic defeat.

• The decisions of the referees and technical officials are final.

Group Stage

• Double Category – 4 pools, 5 teams in each pool

• Team Event – 2 pools, 4 teams in each pool

• Double Category – The top 2 teams in each group (4 groups) will automatically advance to the QF

• Team Event – All teams in each group will automatically advance to the QF
