Where: Singapore Expo Hall 10

Tournament Window

7:00 AM–7:00 PM

A high-level event flow will include:

Check-in → Group Stage → Knockout Stage → Semifinals → Finals → Awards

Exact match times will be published after the final team count and competition structure are confirmed.

🏆 Tournament Categories

🌱 Newbies 3.0 and below

A division designed specifically for newer and developing competitive players.

Eligibility Highlights

• Players must be 18 years old and above
• DUPR must be 3.00 and below
• No recognised sanctioned doubles podium finish
• Team-event podiums are excluded from the podium restriction
• NR players are not eligible
• Multiple DUPR accounts must be declared
• If a player has multiple DUPR accounts, the highest DUPR rating will be used

🔵 Intermediate 3.5 and below

A broader division for newer and intermediate players.

Eligibility Highlights

• Players must be 18 years old and above
• DUPR must be 3.50 and below
• Previous tournament podiums are allowed
• NR players are eligible
• NR is treated as 3.49
• Multiple DUPR accounts must be declared
• If a player has multiple DUPR accounts, the highest DUPR rating will be used

👥 Team Competition

Each team will consist of:

8 players

The planned team-vs-team matchup includes:

1. Mixed Doubles
2. Women’s Doubles
3. Men’s Doubles 1
4. Men’s Doubles 2

If the team matchup is tied:

2-2

a DreamBreaker will determine the winning team.

Detailed DreamBreaker rules and player rotation requirements will be published in the final competition briefing.

🏓 Tournament Format

The tournament will use a:

Group Stage → Knockout Stage

The exact competition format will depend on the final number of confirmed teams in each category.

The following will be confirmed after registration and roster locking:

• number of pools
• teams per pool
• number of group matches
• number of teams advancing from each pool
• quarterfinal structure, where applicable
• knockout seeding
• full match timetable

Why this is not fixed yet

We want to build the fairest and most efficient competition structure based on the final field.

For example, if a category reaches 16 teams, a possible structure could be:

4 pools × 4 teams → Top teams advance → Knockout Stage

However, this is not yet the confirmed format.

🔄 Player Replacements

We understand that unforeseen situations can happen.

Examples include:

• injury
• illness
• family emergency
• travel disruption
• work emergency
• other genuine situations preventing a registered player from competing

Teams may request a replacement subject to the tournament replacement rules.

Replacement principle

Any replacement player must independently meet all eligibility requirements of the team’s category.

Late or emergency replacements require organiser approval.

Emergency replacement should not be used to strategically strengthen a roster after registration closes.

🔍 Eligibility Review & Appeals

Eligibility may be reviewed where there is:

• a possible previous podium
• conflicting DUPR information
• multiple DUPR accounts
• an undeclared DUPR account
• incorrect player information
• a DUPR-profile mismatch

Players will have an opportunity to provide clarification and supporting evidence.

A player may submit one appeal where they believe an eligibility decision was based on incorrect or incomplete information.

The final organiser decision after appeal will be final for Sama-Sama Pickleball Cup 2026.

📝 Team Registration

Team Captain

• The team captain to create and register the team name and pay the team registration fee.
• The captain will provide the team name, category and captain details during team registration.

Players

• Once the team has been created by the captain, each player must register individually under the team name created by their team captain.
• Players only need to provide their individual player details and required eligibility information.

Team Registration will include:

• Team name
• Category
• Team captain
• 8-player roster
• DUPR information
• Player eligibility declarations
• Any additional DUPR accounts
• Newbies podium declaration, where applicable
