Horleys Putrajaya Novice Pickleball Tournament is calling all pickleball players to join our tournament this upcoming 4th and 5th October in Seri Kembangan. The tournament is brought to you by Putrajaya Pickleball Association (PUPA) and is powered by Horleys by B Crobes International Sdn Bhd. 4 Categories: 1. Men’s Double (60 teams) 2. Women's Double (32 teams) 3. Mixed Double (40 teams) 4. Men's Double Masters (45 years above) (20 teams) Players are allowed to register in more than 1 category. DUPR must be below 3.099. Tournament Details Date: 4-5 October 2025 Location: The Pickle Vibe @ Seri Kembangan, The Atmosphere, Seri Kembangan Tournament Schedule: Saturday – 4th October 1) Men’s Double: 8 am – 12 pm 2) Women’s Double: 2 pm – 6 pm Sunday – 5th October 1) Mixed Double: 8 am – 12 pm 2) Men’s Double Masters: 2 pm – 6 pm Registration Fee: RM120 per team Prizes 1st Place: RM700 2nd Place: RM400 3rd Place: RM200 4th Place: RM100 Prize Pool (Cash): RM5,600 Prize Pool (Merchandise): RM7,360 Total Prize Pool: RM12,960 Revised format and rules Tournament Formats/Rules • Group Stage (Round Robin): 1 set – 15 points • Knockout Stage (R32 - R16): 1 set – 15 points • Change sides when the first team reach 8 points • Knockout Stage (QF, SF, Final): 1 set – 21 points • Change sides when the first team reach 11 points • Each game will use the sudden-death format, no deuce at (14-14) and (20-20) • Time-out: 1 minute for each team (1 time only in a game) starting in the knockout rounds • All matches, groupings and knockouts will be officiated matches. The umpire will call for service faults, non-volley zone faults and score • Line call rules: Receiver calls for the out ball, the umpire may advise if any dispute happens • Any disputes without agreement will be replayed (reserve) • All players are expected to join with integrity. Substitution of players, creation of sub-account, and manipulation of DUPR ratings are NOT allowed, and in such cases, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to verify or disqualify ineligible players. • DUPR Rating will be based on the last rating recorded on 19th September 2025 - 3.0 covers everything from 3.001 to 3.099. • Match scheduling and timings are subject to change based on tournament progress. Group Stage • Men’s Double Category – 10 pools, 5 teams in each pool • Women’s Double Category – 8 pools, 4 teams in each pool • Mixed Double Category – 8 pools, 5 teams in each pool • Men’s Double Masters Category – 4 pools, 5 teams in each pool Knockout rounds • Men’s Double Category – Round 32, Round 16, QF, SF, FINALS The top 2 teams in each group (12 groups) will automatically advance to the Round 32, best 8 teams ranked 3rd in groups will advance to the Round 32 • Women’s Double Category – Round 16, QF, SF, FINALS The top 2 teams in each group (8 groups) will automatically advance to the Round 16 • Mixed Double Category – Round 16, QF, SF, FINALS The top 2 teams in each group (8 groups) will automatically advance to the Round 16 • Men’s Double Masters Category – QF, SF, FINALS The top 2 teams in each group (4 groups) will automatically advance to the Quarter Final
