Tournament Overview

The SnackRight Women’s Pickleball Tournament is created to empower more women to step onto the court, challenge themselves, and level up their game.

From new competitors to experienced players, the tournament welcomes women across different playing levels—bringing everyone together through competition, sportsmanship, and a shared passion for pickleball.

Categories, Eligibility and Registration Fees

Novice – Below 2.50, No Podium in any previous tournament

Eligibility: DUPR below 2.50 with no previous podium finishes including Reclub.

Registration Fee: RM200 per team

Intermediate – Below 3.50

Novice – Below 2.50, No Podium in any previous tournament

• Round Robin: Rally scoring to 15 points
• Knockout Rounds: Rally scoring to 21 points

Novice – Below 2.99

• All rounds: Rally scoring to 21 points

Intermediate – Below 3.50

• Round Robin to Quarterfinals: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 11 points
• Semifinals: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 15 points
• Final and Third-Place Playoff: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 21 points

Open

• Round Robin to Quarterfinals: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 11 points
• Semifinals: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 15 points
• Final and Third-Place Playoff: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 21 points

Senior 50+ Open

• Round Robin to Quarterfinals: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 11 points
• Semifinals: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 15 points
• Final and Third-Place Playoff: Traditional 0-0-2 scoring to 21 points

Prize Money and Podium Gifts

Every podium-winning team will also receive gifts from SnackRight and Starbucks worth RM400 per team, in addition to the cash prize.

Novice – Below 2.50, Zero Podium

• Champion: RM600 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 1st Runner-Up: RM400 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 2nd Runner-Up: RM200 cash + sponsored merchandise

Novice – Below 2.99

• Champion: RM1,500 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 1st Runner-Up: RM1,000 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 2nd Runner-Up: RM500 cash + sponsored merchandise

Intermediate – Below 3.50

• Champion: RM3,000 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 1st Runner-Up: RM2,000 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 2nd Runner-Up: RM1,000 cash + sponsored merchandise

Open

• Champion: RM8,000 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 1st Runner-Up: RM6,000 cash + sponsored merchandise

Senior 50+ Open

• Champion: RM1,500 cash + sponsored merchandise
• 1st Runner-Up: RM1,000 cash + sponsored merchandise

The organisers reserve the right to reduce the prize money, combine categories, or cancel a category if we do not meet the full expected number of teams

Rules and Gameplay

• Early-round matches will be self-refereed, with Match Officials available to assist when required.
• Appointed referees will officiate the semifinals and finals.
• Players must announce the score clearly before every serve.
• Line calls will be made by the players.
• Any unresolved dispute may be escalated to a Match Official.
• Teams must be ready to begin their match within five minutes of being called.
• A maximum grace period of 10 minutes will be given before a walkover is declared.

Group-Stage Tie-Breaking Criteria

If two or more teams finish with identical match records, rankings will be determined in the following order:

1. Point difference
2. Head to head
3. Total Points scored
4. Coin toss, if the teams remain tied

Important Tournament Policies

• Age and DUPR eligibility requirements will be strictly enforced.
• Under 18s will be allowed to join at the discretion of the Tournament director on a case-to-case basis 
• A designated protest period will be provided before the event for participants to raise eligibility concerns.
• Each protest must be accompanied by a RM100 deposit and clear evidence backing up the claim.
• If the protest is successful, the RM100 deposit will be fully refunded.
• If the protest is unsuccessful, the RM100 deposit will be forfeited.
• Eligibility violations may result in disqualification, voided match results, or revoked titles and prizes.
• Registration fees are non-refundable once registration is confirmed.
• Partner changes will not be permitted after a team has played its first match.
• The organiser’s decision on all protests, tournament matters, and eligibility matters will be final.

Conduct and Fair Play

All participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, respect, and professionalism throughout the tournament.

The following behaviours are prohibited:

• Verbal abuse, taunting, intimidation, or misconduct
• Equipment abuse
• Deliberate delays or time-wasting
• Disrespectful behaviour toward players, officials, organisers, or spectators

Depending on the severity of the offence, violations may result in a warning, point or match penalties, or disqualification.
