  • Team Rating: Within a team, the player with the higher rating (self-rating or DUPR, as applicable) determines the team's category.
  • DUPR Priority: If any of a team's players has a DUPR reliability rating of 60% or higher, that player's DUPR rating will be the basis for the team's category, taking precedence over self-rating.
  • No Duplicate Accounts: Players must NOT have duplicate DUPR accounts. Players with duplicate accounts must request DUPR to merge their accounts prior to registering for the tournament.
  • DUPR Required: All match results will be uploaded to DUPR. Players are required to have a DUPR account and connect it to their Sports Sync account prior to the tournament.
  • Disqualification: Players or teams found and confirmed to have failed to meet the set conditions for their chosen category may be disqualified without refund.
  • Protests: Teams may file a protest if they believe a player does not meet the set conditions for their category. Proof or evidence must be submitted through Sports Sync. This can be done by clicking the player in question and provide details no later than August 23, 2026. The organizing committee will no longer entertain any protest beyond this date.

🪜 TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Each category will play under a Pool Play → Bracket Advancement format:

  • Pools: Teams are assigned into pools of four (4) to five (5) teams per pool.
  • Pool Play: Single round robin within each pool.
  • Advancement: Top teams from each pool advance to a Play-In, Quarterfinal, or Semifinal round, depending on the total number of teams and pools per category.

The exact bracket structure for each category will be finalized once registration closes on August 15, 2026.

🏓 GAME RULES

  • Scoring: Side-out scoring, race to 11 points, win by 1.
  • Change of Ends: Teams switch sides at 6 points.
  • Timeouts: No timeouts.
  • Medical Timeout: One (1) five-minute medical timeout per match, if needed.
  • Time Cap: 15 minutes. At the time cap, the leading team is declared the winner. If teams are tied at time cap, a golden point is played — whoever wins the next rally, regardless of whether serving or receiving, scores the point and is declared the winner.
  • Warm-Up: One (1) minute per match prior to first serve.
  • Default Time: Three (3) minutes. A team that fails to report to their assigned court within this window forfeits the game.
  • Default Score: A defaulted game is recorded as 11–0 in favor of the present team.

🔝 POOL SEEDING & TIEBREAKERS

Where teams finish pool play with identical records, seeding for bracket advancement is determined using the following criteria, applied in order:

  1. 1st TiebreakerHead-to-Head Result: The outcome of the direct match between the tied teams.
  2. 2nd TiebreakerPoint Differential: Overall cumulative point differential (points scored minus points allowed) across all pool play games.
  3. 3rd TiebreakerHead-to-Head Point Differential: The point differential specifically from the head-to-head match between the tied teams.
