The Sports Sync x Vortex promises to be an exciting day of pickleball competition.
This one-day tournament brings together players of a combined DUPR of <7.77 in 2 exciting categories which is Men’s and Mixed Doubles. Podium seaters are all welcomed to join!
The tournament will start on 14 June 2025 at 8:00 am. Experience the thrill of competition in a friendly, vibrant atmosphere with top-notch courts and passionate players. With exciting matches, great prizes, and an awesome community atmosphere, this is the perfect event for pickleball enthusiasts.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
June 14 2025
8:00am - 12:00pm: Men’s Doubles advanced intermediate (combined DUPR <7.77)
12:00pm: Prize giving for Men’s
11:30am - 4:00pm: Mixed Doubles advanced intermediate (combined DUPR <7.77)
4:00pm - 5:00pm: Prize giving ceremony
Please be at the venue 1 hour before your category.
SCORING FORMAT ALL EVENTS:
- For Men’s: 40 teams divided into 8 groups of 5 teams randomly.
- For Mixed: 29 teams divided into 6 groups of 5 teams randomly.
- Pool grouping will be drawn 24 hours before tournament day with seeding allocation.
GROUP STAGE: - Round-robin, rally to 15 points per match, sudden death, no serve to win. Switch court sides at 8 points.
- Top 2 teams from each pool will advance to Round 16 or Quarterfinals. Number of Sets: 1 Set
Round 16: - Rally to 15 points per match, sudden death, no serve to win. Switch court sides at 8 points.
Number of Sets: 1 Set
QUARTERFINALS: - Rally to 21 points per match, sudden death, no serve to win. Switch court sides at 11 points.
Number of Sets: 1 Set
SEMIFINALS: - Rally to 21 points per match, sudden death, no serve to win. - Switch court sides at 11 points.
Number of Sets: 1 Set
3RD PLACE MATCH AND FINALS • Rally to 15 points per match, sudden death, no serve to win. Switch court for each set. Last set - switch courts at 8 points. Number of Sets: Best of 3 sets
Time-Out:
- Group stage: No time out
- R 16, Quarterfinal and Semifinal: 1 time out per team (1 minute each time)
- 3rd place match and final: 2 time out per team in between 3 sets (1 minute each time)
DUPR: All matches will be recorded in the DUPR system
