About The Tournament
In celebration of Pickle Human Kepong’s 1st Anniversary, Pickleballerz Community has been appointed to host a full-day open tournament welcoming players across clubs and communities. This is not just a tournament. It is a convergence of Malaysia’s fastest-growing sport and its most engaged social community.
Established in January 2025, Pickleballerz Community is a high-energy, brand-friendly and competitive social sports community that has rapidly grown to 500+ WhatsApp group members. The community brings together an affluent and highly engaged network of professionals, entrepreneurs, and lifestyle-driven individuals across Klang Valley. Pickleballerz is a Not-for-Profit (NFP) community, where any surplus income is reinvested into organising tournaments, events, and initiatives that support player development and strengthen the community. The community is recognised for its strong competitive player base, delivering professionally curated games and tournaments with consistently high participation.

Player Eligibility & Requirements
Individual Player DUPR capped at 3.599
This event is structured with two allocations:
- 75% community slots for Pickleballerz & Pickle Human Rooftop players
- 25% public slots
- All players must be 18 years old & above.
- All players must have a valid DUPR account & DUPR ID at the time of registration.
- Not Rated (NR) players are not eligible for this tournament.
- DUPR reliability score must be above 50% at the time of registration.
- DUPR ratings will be monitored from 1st January 2026 until the time of registration.
- All matches will be submitted to DUPR.
- Strictly NO BUAYA allowed.
**To ensure fairness to the game, all registrations are subject to the Tournament Director's approval. The name list will be announced one week prior to the tournament. Any player found with DUPR manipulation OR multiple DUPR accounts, they will be disqualified without refund & banned from participating in future tournaments. A report to DUPR will also be made.**
Important Note
Court 3 will be used as a spectator area and place for own belongings, Organizer holds NO responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

Tournament Structure
Group Stage
- 15-point rally scoring.
- Sudden death at 14-14.
- No time outs allowed.
- No umpire or linesman assigned.
Total Teams: 48 split to 12 groups of 4 teams each
Qualification: Top 32 teams to qualify for Knockouts. Top 3 from 8 groups & Top 2 from 4 groups.
Qualifying teams will be based on the following criteria, applied in order:
- Total matches won
- Points differential
- Head-to-head Result
- Total points won
- Head-to-head points differential
Knockout Stage
Round of 32, Round of 16 & Quarter Finals
- 15-point rally scoring.
- Sudden death at 14-14.
- No time outs allowed.
- No umpire or linesman assigned.
Semi Finals & 3rd/4th Placing
- 21-point rally scoring.
- Sudden death at 20-20.
- 1 umpire & 2 linesman assigned.
- Foot faults called by umpire.
- 1 time out (1 minute) per team per match.
- Line calls made by receiver.
- Umpire/linesman involved upon challenge.
- Two line call challenges per team per match.
- Final decision to be made by umpire/linesman.
Final
- 11-point traditional scoring. Best of 3 sets.
- Sudden death at 10-10.
- 1 umpire & 2 linesman assigned.
- Foot faults called by umpire.
- 1 time out (1 minute) per team per match.
- Line calls made by receiver.
- Umpire/linesman involved upon challenge.
- Two line call challenges per team per match.
- Final decision to be made by umpire/linesman.
Tournament General Rules & Regulations
1. The tournament rules will be based on the USA Pickleball Official Rulebook. However, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter, amend or modify regulations and make the final decision on any dispute or other matters that may arise.
2. Substitution or change in doubles partner will not be permitted after the draw has been finalised.
3. All scores will be recorded and uploaded on DUPR.
4. Teams arriving more than 10 minutes late or failing to show up for their matches will forfeit their matches, with the score recorded as 0-15.
5. The tournament committee reserves the right to close registration once spots are filled, even if it's before the official closing date.
6. The tournament committee reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the tournament due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, registration fees will be refunded.
Registration
1. All participants must complete the registration process, including payment, with a partner before the registration deadline. Late registrations or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
2. Participants are allowed to join multiple categories provided there are no scheduling conflicts.
3. Registration fees are strictly non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizer.
4. Should the tournament be cancelled for any unforeseen circumstances, the registration fees will be refunded to participants, after deduction of administrative charges of RM 10.00.
5. No refunds will be provided in case of cancellation by the participant.
6. Prize values are subject to change if the registration falls below 75% of the intended capacity for a category.
7. The organizer reserves the right to reassign players to appropriate categories if their skill levels are found to exceed the category's threshold.
8. Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation arrangements; we will not be held liable for any costs incurred.
9. Each participant carefully verifies the supplied information and ensures its correctness.
Check In
1. All participants are required to register at the registration desk on the day of the event, at least 1 hour before the scheduled event.
2. Identification document (i.e. NRIC or Passport) must be presented to the organizing team members upon check-in for verification purposes.
Code of Conduct
- All participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and abide by the tournament rules. Misconduct, unsportsmanlike behavior may result in disqualification.
- Organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to participants who have previously displayed disruptive or unsafe behaviour.
- Organizer reserves the right to reject entries based on past conduct, safety concerns, or event integrity.
Health and Safety
1. The organizer will ensure a safe and well-organised environment, participants are expected to be responsible for their own health and fitness to compete in the tournament.
2. By participating, participants acknowledge and accept the risks associated with pickleball and agree not to hold Sports Sync or its organising committee liable for any injuries sustained during the event.
3. Participants will need to acknowledge to the waiver and liabilities during registration as stated in Liability Waiver & Informed Consent.
Dress Code, Personal Belongings and Media Release
1. Participants must wear proper athletic attire and non marking court shoes.
2. The organizers reserve the right to use photographs, videos, and other media from the event for non-commercial purposes.
3. Participants are advised to bring minimal valuables to the venue.
4. It is the participant's responsibility to keep their own belongings safe and secure while at the tournament venue. The organizer will not be held liable or responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
Dispute Resolution
1. Any disputes must be raised immediately with the referee or tournament director during the match.
2. Only valid disputes regarding score discrepancies or rule violations will be considered, and no retrospective challenges will be entertained.
3. In the event of a dispute, the Tournament Director's decision will be final.
