TOURNAMENT FORMAT

ROUND ROBIN STAGE

• All categories will begin with a Round Robin format.
• Each group will consist of approximately 3–4 players/pairs depending on final entries.
• Top 1–2 players/pairs from each group will advance to the next stage.
• Tournament format may be adjusted based on the final number of participants.
• Match schedules and progression brackets will be announced after registration closes.

DUPR ELIGIBILITY RULES

DUPR NR (Non-Rated)

• Only players without a DUPR rating are eligible.
• Rated DUPR players are not allowed to enter NR categories.

DUPR Below 2.5

• DUPR 0.001 – 2.500 only.
• DUPR 2.501 and above are not eligible.

DUPR Below 3.0

• DUPR 0.001 – 3.000 only.
• DUPR 3.001 and above are not eligible.

DUPR Below 3.5

• DUPR 0.001 – 3.500 only.
• DUPR 3.501 and above are not eligible.

DUPR Below 4.0

• DUPR 0.001 – 4.000 only.
• DUPR 4.001 and above are not eligible.

DUPR RELIABILITY REQUIREMENT

• All participants must submit their DUPR profile showing both Rating and Reliability.
• Players with Reliability below 50% may have their DUPR rating reviewed again after registration closes.
• If the reviewed DUPR rating exceeds the category limit, the player may be moved to a higher category or disqualified.
• Players with Reliability above 50% at the time of registration will generally remain in their registered category even if their DUPR rating increases slightly before the event.

TIE-BREAKING CRITERIA

If players/pairs are tied during Round Robin standings, the following criteria will apply:

1. Point Difference (Points Scored – Points Conceded)
2. Head-to-Head Result
3. Higher Total Points Scored
4. Tournament Director's Decision

The Tournament Director's decision is final.

PLAYER CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE

Players are expected to maintain good sportsmanship at all times.

The following are prohibited:

• Verbal abuse
• Unsportsmanlike conduct
• Harassment of opponents, referees or organisers
• Deliberate stalling of matches
• Intentionally providing misleading DUPR information

The organiser reserves the right to:

• Issue warnings
• Deduct points
• Forfeit matches
• Disqualify players

All organiser decisions are final.

MATCH ATTENDANCE

• Each match begins with a 1-minute warm-up period.
• Players should arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match.
• Players who fail to appear after being called more than two times may be disqualified.
• Walkovers may be awarded at the organiser's discretion.

If a player is participating in another category match, they must notify the tournament desk in advance.

PLAYER REPLACEMENT POLICY

• Partner replacement is allowed before registration closes.
• No partner changes are allowed after registration closes.
• Any unauthorised player replacement will result in disqualification.

REFUND POLICY

• Once registration has been submitted and payment has been made, no refunds will be issued.
• Players who are unable to attend are encouraged to arrange a replacement before the registration deadline.

PROTEST & APPEAL PROCESS

A protest period will be provided before the tournament begins.

To submit a protest:

• Evidence must be provided.
• A RM200 protest deposit is required.

If the protest is successful:

• Deposit will be fully refunded.

If the protest is unsuccessful:

• Deposit will be forfeited as an administrative fee.

Once the protest period closes, no further protests will be entertained.

EVENT & LIABILITY

• Players participate at their own risk.
• Organisers are not responsible for injuries, accidents, loss of belongings or personal damages.
• Safety remains the highest priority throughout the event.

MEDIA CONSENT

By participating in ACE Pickleball Tournament 5.0, players consent to:

• Photography
• Videography
• Social media coverage
• Promotional and marketing use by ACE Pickleball MY

without additional compensation.

ORGANISER RIGHTS

ACE Pickleball MY reserves the right to:

• Merge categories with insufficient entries
• Cancel categories that do not meet minimum participation requirements
• Adjust tournament format when necessary
• Modify prize distributions if participation requirements are not achieved

All decisions made by the organiser are final.
